Museum of Policing in Cheshire Museum GB1PIC
SATURDAY 10TH JUNE
The Museum of Policing in Cheshire is located in the Arpley Street, Warrington police building.
The museum collection started as a modest sized display at the former Force Training Centre when it was at Crewe, that establishment closed in 2004. The museum was then setup at its current site in Warrington and rapidly grew, thanks to the generosity of many former serving police offers and their relatives a remarkably archive of momentoes, photos, documents and ‘paraphernalia’ pertinent to policing the Cheshire area from Victorian times to the 21st Century has been assembled. Whilst Arpley Street is still an operational police building it has been possible to open the museum to visitors, by appointment and all the volunteer museum staff thoroughly enjoy such events.
