A few months ago Dave G8KBB shared with us his attempts to implmement M17 in software.

That talk covered the specification of M17 and how it works.

This talk will conclude the journey demonstrating TX & RX of M17 using Peter's hermes,
Dave's homebrew SDR and Mike's MD-UV380.

Oh, and it will be a double act betweeen Dave and Mike to ensure no unexplained hard technical bits 🙂

Node-RED is a visual programming language that is very powerful but surprisingly easy to use. The language has matured over recent years and has the potential to be a valuable tool for radio amateurs. In this talk, Mike will provide an introduction to Node-RED programming techniques. He will conclude with a live demonstration to show just how easy it can be to add extra facilities to your rig.

The talk by Ian G0VGS is an introduction to digital voice with a focus on Yaesu System Fusion. It is based around a presentation with a Q&A at the end. Ian will discuss what digital voice actually is and how we use the technology to improve range and catchment.

This year, the PW 2m contest will be held on 11th June.
WARC will be participating from Pyms Chair near Macclesfield.

We will be in the safe hands of Peter as he talk us through how to use the equipment at he shack for connecting to the QO-100 satalite. Im sure this will be a very interesting talk for all technical levels.

One of the great benefits of belonging to a club is access to the equipment and facilities available. Railways on the air (ROTA) weekend usually takes place every year on the weekend closest to the 27th September. This date celebrates the anniversary of the first steam powered passenger railway which took place on 27th September 1825 - the first passenger train ran on a line in the North East of England from Darlington to Stockton. Bishop Auckland Amateur Radio Club coordinates this event.

This year the PW 4m contest is to be held on 24 September
WARC plans to participate again.
