Hi, After todays Solder Sunday and seeing the latest DATV receiver board by Brian it was discussed by several people and about 10 have said they wanted to have a play and get the kit but after the BATC selling out of the limited supply of kits in no time at all the chance of getting one any time soon is a bit hit and miss so I’ve ordered all the components minus the tuner and USB Plug In Board (Just like the BATC Kit). So hopefully we can get some PCB’s off Brian and get some kits together for a club project for the people who expressed an interest and I can get back the money I’ve laid out.
Regards,
Glen.

Update on parts for this project:
After the BATC were so kind as to be ****holes I’ve ordered 10 tuners from china so they should be here in a couple of weeks. I’ve received from RS Components 10 of the (A3C-24DA-2DSA(71)) connectors, I’m awaiting 25 from china that will hopefully fit as these are rather expensive for what they are, Vincent said he had a few and I’ve ordered the additional filters I was short of for 4 of the 10 kits I was making. So hopefully very soon we should have all the bits for 10 kits apart from the fact we only have 6 boards from Brian at the moment additional boards can be bought from the BATC or hopefully some additional boards will be available on Brian’s next production run. I shall price everything up and just divide it between the 10 as I don’t know the price yet and I might be stung for import duties on the Tuners.
We will also need to get a down converter I believe Vincent has a few but these will need modifying, some bits need chopping out and bodge wires putting in place to increase the sensitivity and range so we can play DATV on the new 2 meter allocation.
After all the receiver work is done we will look at building the Digithin Transmitter and hopefully by then Vincent and or Brian will have a plan to boost the output enough to drive a linear amplifier.
