I have a Packard Bell Dot, 10.1 inch note book. The computer tells me that the battery is in a poor condition and needs replacement.
Question 1, can a lap top type unit be revived, and how?
Question 2, can anyone recommend a reliable supplier of lap top batteries, if I need one?
My unit says it is a UM08B32, 6 cell, 10.8 volt, 4400mah. I can find many replacements most 11.1 volt, close enough?

With so many people selling cheap replacement batteries these days its a bit like pot luck. There are probably some bad ones around but I don’t know which would be best.
I would forget trying to revive it you’ll spend hours faffing putting in the freezer as some people suggest but it will probably be good only for a day or two and at 10.00 or so
for another one hardly worth it. I replaced my Dell one a couple of years ago with one which just says Made in China on it and its still working fine. Don’t know the supplier now.
but probably through Amazon or Ebay. I found this, they mainly list batteries which is a good sign I think. Woudn’t worry about the odd half volt difference quoted.
