We will be operating the club portable station at the Cheshire Steam Fair on the 9th & 10th July 2016 at Daresbury.
I have arranged a suitable area within the exhibition for us to promote the hobby of amateur radio, and hopefully have a good time doing so.
We propose to set up the station on Friday afternoon/evening of the 8th July, and all help in doing so would be appreciated. Access to the site is available from mid day on Friday, and I will be collecting tables and other equipment from the club house around 3.00pm.
Access to the site over the weekend is charged as follows:-
Adults £10.00
Over 65’s £8.00
Under 16’s £5.00
Under 5’s Free.
We have been issued two vehicle passes that I propose to make the most of. It would make sense to fill a couple of cars with as many people who wish to attend, rather than waste the non transferable passes on a van carrying one or two people and the equipment.
Access by these passes must be before !0.00 am on the Saturday and Sunday.
I will be available on 07592 572258, please ring me if you need access or transport arranging. I will also be available on GB7WC over the weekend.
We hope also to have a BBQ on the Saturday evening, on the Camp Site providing there is enough interest.
